Pliocene Park is a group exhibition of new work by Larissa Borteh, Josh Dihle, Em Kettner, Dylan Rabe, Robert Radtke, Nick Schutzenhofer, and Alex Stark.

This collection of paintings, weavings, and photographs delves into the worlds of abstraction and figuration in equal measure, frequently and fearlessly bridging their divide in pursuit of deeply personal and idiosyncratic subject matter. Under no unifying banner of genre or aesthetic, each artist presents a unique vision of an inner world, guided by the innate human impulses that Wilhelm Worringer identified as dual, mirrored urges towards abstraction and empathy. In imperfect communion with these ancient drives, these artists attempt to reconcile empathetic experience of the external world with a fraught internal landscape.
